30/ 2(2+3)/ 5 = ?

I love math

I love math when I can solve it

However how can this question comes out with 2 answer?

What the hell!

0.6 and 15

why does such question even exist?
30/ 2(2+3)/ 5
= 30/ 2(5)/ 5
= 30/ 10/ 5
= 3/5
= 0.6

30/ 2(2+3)/ 5
= 30/ 2 x 5 / 5
= 15 x 5/ 5
= 75/ 5
= 15

WHY IS IT LIKE THAT?
There was an argument for this on a online forum
all because Taiwan there got calculators giving out different answers when the equation was put in

so what your stand?

My is 0.6
but using the BODMAS rule
15 is correct

Awwww... I dun know lah

even if u apply bodmas, you will still get 0.6 and not 15.

2(2+3) =/= 2*5

2(2+3) = 2(5)

applying bodmas to this, you will nd to do 2(5) first instead of 2*5

even if it is 2*5, seeing as they are all divide and multiply, you will nd to solve it from left to right and not giving priority to the multiplication.

15 is definitely wrong.
